Book Board
The book board paintings started in 2014 when I acquired unused bookbinders board to use as a possible art material. At the same time I had begun experimenting with combining dry pigments and shellac to use as a painting medium. I used the book board to paint on, and I loved the combination. They’re experimental, gestural paintings mixing traditional drawing and painting materials with non-traditional materials.
